Detailed role description:

At Galytix, we are transforming the insurance industry through cutting-edge AI-powered data solutions. We are seeking an experienced Insurance Product Manager to spearhead the development and delivery of our innovative products for the Insurance Industry.

This role acts as the bridge between technology, data, and insurance expertise, working closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and AI specialists to bring high-impact solutions to the market. As an Insurance Product Manager, you will:

• Define and Own the Product Roadmap – Shape the product strategy based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals.
• Provide Insurance Expertise – Offer strategic insurance consulting, ensuring that products align with industry requirements and regulations.
• Lead a Cross-Functional Team – Engage with an 8-15-person team of Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and AI Specialists to deliver impactful solutions.
• Drive Product Development – Translate client needs into actionable features, user stories, and technical documentation while ensuring timely delivery.
• Ensure Product Quality – Oversee QA and UAT processes to maintain the highest product standards.
• Ensure Product Monitoring – Oversee product usage and effectiveness based on customer usage and feedback.
• Analysis of competitive landscape – Monitor industry trends in agentic AI tools and solutions specific to Insurance.
• Engage with Clients – Prepare and deliver product presentations, demos, and training for clients and internal teams.

Desired skills:

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in insurance or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in product development.

• Industry Expertise – In-depth knowledge of insurance products, including underwriting, policy management, claims handling, and regulatory considerations.
• Product Development – Proven experience managing high-complexity data products, from concept to market deployment.
• Technical Acumen – A strong understanding of software engineering principles and data ecosystems. Familiarity with Python, Scala, Java, or C++ is advantageous.
• Data-driven Mindset – Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Project Management Skills – Ability to manage multi-project timelines and work effectively in agile environments.
• Outstanding Communication – Strong presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Regulatory Knowledge – Familiarity with insurance regulations, including data privacy, licensing, and claims handling.
• Multilingual Advantage – Proficiency in English. French is an advantage.
