The risk-seeking part of my personality defined my early days. I have always believed in “if you are not living on the edge you are taking too much space.” This philosophy led me to being a banker, a management consultant and to eventually becoming an entrepreneur when I co-founded Galytix (GX). But what really shaped my arc was learnings from failures. Driven by a passion for technology, my journey has taken me across continents and given me an in-depth knowledge / experience into solving complex data-driven technology issues for global financial institutions including world’s first core banking system replacement, trading system implementation and collateral management system. A few years in, I hit a period of herd mentality. It takes an army to build a proper data-driven system useful for financial institutions, years to successfully implement and migrate data into it and only the big technology giants have the firepower to do it. Luckily, I pulled through this herd mentality by co-founding Galytix.
At GX, we have built an AI Knowledge Assistant for financial professionals with an aim to being the needle in the GenAI haystack. To make this mission a reality, a key part of my role as a CEO is to identify and hire smart people who are truly excited about our mission and let them tell us what to do. I consider trusting and empowering our talent as one of the most important major aspect of my role.
I believe in big tech shifts, small players can stand out and succeed because there’s not necessarily a market leader – something we believe we can use to our advantage. I see a future where every single interaction of financial professionals with their knowledge and data world will be through a specialised AI assistant. These professionals will be talking to their specialised AI assistants all the time. This can’t be done only by the big giants – diversity will be key. As a CEO, I am laser sharp focused on scaling GX’s impact by identifying the right opportunities, building momentum, and executing with precision.
Ambition anchored in intelligence is for me is the absolute key foundation. With the big tech shifts in play, new business models will emerge. Teams who will help define and shape the new AI Assistant era will be the ones who have the right combination of skilful masters connected in a culture that believes the mission is greater than any of the individuals. We look for skilful mastery in a specific domain and a growth mindset that makes you an expert at your craft.
One thing the entrepreneurship journey has taught me is that the unpredictable is more predictable than the predictable. Building a successful firm with global impact is full of struggle and challenges. Some days can be pretty dark. We are looking for skilful masters with the ambition and tenacity of turning GX into a firm with global impact. And someone who will love being on this journey.
“Be the needle in the haystack.
Not a haystack.”
