DETAILED ROLE DESCRIPTION:

• Develop a state-of-the-art data science and ML runtime stack in a multi-cloud environment.
• Manage the infrastructure and pipelines needed to bring models and code into production.
• Demonstrate end-to-end understanding of applications (including, but not limited to, the machine learning algorithms) being created.
• Deploy algorithms based on statistical modelling procedures and build and maintain scalable machine learning solutions in production.
• Research and implement best practices to improve the existing machine learning infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data engineers, application programmers and data scientists.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Strong hands-on computer programming proficiency is a must. Expert understanding of Python and Pythonic programming paradigms.
• Experience scaling machine learning on data and compute grids.
• Knowledge of MLOps, Git, Kubernetes Docker, CI/CD, Linux, cloud computing and Agile processes.
• Self-starter with excellent communication/time management skills.
• Qualification in STEM fields such as computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, statistics.
• Experience with MLflow and Apache Ray is an advantage.
• Experience in training and tuning large language models is an advantage.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English language.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn.
